Eye Witness Accounts

Man and family being picked up from work brutality attacked by police
by: Anonymous

source

I am a small business owner, a Canadian and most importantly a father, and I am writing this email to inform the mayor of the attack on me, my wife and my 2 year old son on Sun the 27 of June. Let me start by saying I could care less about any of the G20/G8 meetings that were held, that was beyond any Canadians control. And secondly, I had always held you with the utmost respect and felt honored you were the leader of our city, Toronto. But I am curious how you could be so quick to commend officers without actually knowing any facts of there actions. I work 2 minutes away from the Detention Center, which is now being referred to as Torontonimo bay, your city Mayor, why aren't you upset? On the Sunday in question, like most Canadians with new children, I had to work. Unknown to me when I left for work the mayhem that was unfolding outside. I work in sound design and my space is sound proofed, which is pertinent to the story. My wife was to pick me up in the early evening but because of the state of the area, she had called, and was coming early to get me...I should ad that this is just out of the way of gates on Eastern Ave. I should also add there was no cameras, protestors, people at all, other then cops, in the area during this incident. I received a call from my wife that she and my son were to arrive soon. I shut my workstations down, logged in the necessary info for the day and proceeded to lock the door; for the first time that day I could hear the ruckus...quickly gathered myself and went outside...TO MY ASTONISHMENT there were riot police everywhere, and as I glanced around, my wife, holding my 2 year old son, were out of the car being BULLIED! ,yes, pushed around by a circus of our countries finest. I dash over to see whats the matter, as I get close saying "is there a problem here," as calmly as I could under the circumstances, I am tackled from behind and throttled by several police officers. Once THEY calmed down and began to ask me whats going on, the whole time, your most commendable officers are screaming harassing calling my wife, my child names. I proceeded to tell them I was finishing work...they replied you didn't hear what was going on...I explained what I did...all the time 2 officers are standing on my neck and another is kicking me in my kidneys, still groping and pawing my wife and shuving my child in her arms. I have urinated blood most of the week, but that's besides the point. I informed the officers I couldn't hear because of the sound proofing...the response they had about taking my wife in that room and forcing my son, who was screaming the whole time, and I to watch as they repeatedly raped, ran a train, gang banged(your officers words) my wife brought me to a place I had never been...None of these officers had badge numbers which is convenient for them, don't you think. I am not sure what happened next because they all, like a street gang, had enough and walked away laughing. Leaving my wife and child in tears, myself in disarray and feeling fully and utterly angry. I got up, took my son out of my wifes arms, walked her to the car, set my son in his seat, gave my wife a kiss and a hug, helped her in the car...and then I proceeded to drive home...where we haven't left since. I will remain strong for my family...but you know when your suppose to protect your children from harm.........this time it was out of my control, it was in your control! I don't care what you politicians do in your life...but now YOUR choices have effected me and my family dearly...so what am I to think when you say they did a commendable job. Mayor Miller, I hope your family was safe during all of this, because you and police chief Blair made sure A LOT of families weren't. And don't pass the buck here you already commended them, stand by YOUR words.

NOTE: There was no rape that actually occurred in this event - it was a threat of rape by police to the author's wife.
